Temporary Residence
We assist clients in a variety of ways to obtain, maintain, change, and renew their temporary residence in Canada. For example, we routinely help individuals with Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA), Super Visas, Study Permits, Visitor Visas, and Work Permits.
Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA)
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that an employer in Canada may need prior to hiring a foreign worker. To obtain the document, several things must be demonstrated, including that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job. We help employers in countless industries and professions apply for LMIAs. To apply for a work permit, the worker will need a job offer letter, a contract, a copy of the LMIA, and the LMIA number, in addition to other materials.
There are also certain exemptions to LMIA that may apply to your case. Please contact us for additional information.
Super Visas
We assist clients in applying for Super Visas, which allow multiple entries for the visa holder for a period up to ten years. It also grants the individual a two-year stay at a time in Canada. This is an ideal option for individuals seeking to stay temporarily in Canada, but who require more than a six-month stay at a time. Please contact us for an inquiry regarding the specific requirements to obtain a Super Visa.
Study Permits
Aside from a few exceptions, nearly every student in Canada needs a study permit if they seek to study more than six months. There may be options to expedite your study permit through the Student Direct Stream, depending on your country of citizenship. In addition to being fully vaccinated, enrollment at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), and proof of funds, your qualifications and needs may allow you to apply for a work permit while you study. Contact our office for further information.
Visitor Visas
In addition to visitor visas, we can help you extend your stay, reunite family members, invite family members, and invite business visitors to Canada. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding obtaining, applying for, or changing your visitor visa.
Work Permits
We assist clients in applying for work permits, as well as extending and changing their work permit conditions to offer flexibility additional immigration options going forward. We also help with explaining career opportunities, inquiries regarding credential assessments and language training, as well as navigating a change of jobs while on a work permit. Please contact our office for further information.
