Miguel’s academic journey began at the University of Kent, where he earned an LLB with honors. During his time at Kent, he was actively involved in the Legal Advice Clinic, providing pro bono legal services and gaining practical experience in a range of legal matters.
Following his graduation, Miguel took a position as the case manager for his local Member of Parliament. It was here that he developed a passion in assisting newcomers to Canada. His work there provided him with unique insights and a robust foundation for his future as a Canadian immigration lawyer.
Now an associate lawyer, Miguel specializes in a spectrum of immigration-related services. He navigates work permits for both businesses and individuals, study permits, visitor visas, and permanent resident applications. He also represents clients at the Federal Court when necessary.
Miguel’s approach is marked by a detailed and compassionate understanding of each client’s unique situation, ensuring they receive the best possible guidance and support through their immigration journey. His commitment to making the complex immigration process accessible and understandable has earned him the trust of his clients.
Miguel was called to the bar of British Columbia in January of 2021 and is a member of the Canadian Immigration Lawyer’s Association.
